Winton Memorial Pool and Waltzing Matilda Centre
Sunday 26 January 2025
6am - 12pm
This Australia Day, make your way to the Waltzing Matilda Centre in Winton for Great Australian Bites.
Start the day with a barbeque in Barry Wilson Memorial Park and cheer on your favourite athlete in the triathlon. Then head to the Waltzing Matilda Centre at 9am for the Australia Day Awards with Australia Day Ambassador Wayne Sticher and explore the variety of stalls on offer.
Throughout the day, you can enjoy tasty offerings including cakes, biscuits and slices from Winton Dates, sausage sizzle and snow cones from Winton Rugby League, and delectable pulled-pork sliders, lamb kebabs and piping-hot calamari from Tuckerbox.
For those looking to be entertained, enjoy a hilarious comedy show from The Crackup Sisters from 9.45am, listen to live music from local singer Jess White from 10.15am, and then take notes as Jayde's Outback Thermie presents an exciting Thermomix demonstration making scones.
You can also escape the summer sizzle at a pool party from 10am at the Winton Memorial Pool with games and food available for all to enjoy. Kids can enjoy classic favourites including egg and spoon races, tug of war and light-hearted swimming competitions.
