Nielson Park, Bargara
Sunday 26 January 2025
11am - 5.30pm
Great Australian Bites returned to Bargara on Sunday 26 January to celebrate everything that makes Australia a truly wonderful place to live.
The picturesque beachside location of Nielson Park, Bargara was a summertime favourite for locals and holiday makers alike.
With live music, roving entertainment, beach activities, kids activities, local food vendors and a good old fashioned Aussie BBQ, Great Australian Bites was a celebration of local music, produce and talent.
Attendees enjoyed a packed stage program featuring popular local artists Derek F Smith, Smooth Velvet, Ryan Giles, Abby Skye Duo, Unity Drummers, and the Spargo Brothers.
The fun didn’t stop at the stage, with activities including a prawn peeling competition, Party Higher silent disco, roller skating with The Neon Loft, face painting, and BMX and skateboarding workshops.
Lifeguard-supervised beach swimming offered a perfect way to cool off, while Bubble'licious Creations provided whimsical fun for all ages.
A range of market stalls and food vendors ensured no one went hungry, serving up everything from savoury bites to sweet indulgences. Guests got their ice-cream fix at Maminos, baos and tacos at Tasty Street Food and everyone's favourite twisted spuds at Binney's Tornado Potato. Other items on the menu included slow cooked meats, churros, dagwood dogs, pancakes and other delights from vendors including Dutchy Delights, Beef Up Ya Bungs, Bundy Burger Co and more.
